Australian women are being urged to 'get tested' over fears an 'extremely sexually active' man has been intentionally infecting his partners with HIV.  

Two women have reportedly contracted the virus after having unprotected sex with the Perth man.

The man, who was not named due to an 'ongoing court case' is said to be a 'regular on various dating websites such as Oasis, Plenty of Fish, Positive Singles, as well as Facebook messenger.

He was described as a European Australian in his early 30s, with tattoos.

'So far, there are two confirmed cases of women who have contracted the HIV virus and both had sexual relations with this man in recent weeks-months,' a woman posted on Facebook to raise the alarm.

'He has recently travelled to the eastern states of Australia and is known to be extremely sexually active.

'Police are attempting to contact identified sexual partners, it is likely there are many others unidentified so urge anyone who has had sexual relations with someone of this description to have a full health screening ASAP.'

NSW Police declined to comment on the investigation when contacted by Daily Mail Australia and WA Police said they could not confirm the allegations in the post.  

In a separate case last month, a 37-year-old Sydney man was arrested and charged after allegedly infecting a woman with HIV. 

Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting the same man is responsible for the cases of HIV in Perth.

Police alleged the pair met on social media before they had consensual sexual intercourse. 

The woman claimed the man did not inform her he was infected with the communicable illness.
