Nadine Coyle confirms Girls Aloud are in talks to reunite for 20th anniversary in 2022 - Brinkwire

GIRLS Aloud are in talks to reunite for their 20th anniversary in 2022, Nadine Coyle has revealed.

The group split in 2013 but are now back in touch and discussing a return.

Music insiders believe the five-piece, which includes Cheryl Tweedy, Nicola Roberts, Sarah Harding and Kimberley Walsh, could rake in millions from a nationwide tour, with there even being a chance of new music.

In news sure to excite millions of fans worldwide, Nadine confirmed: "There's been loads of conversations and people now are getting in contact, like, 'What do we do?' It's still early."

The group scored 21 Top Ten hits including four No1 singles during their pop reign after forming on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002.

The members have gone on to have solo careers, with Cheryl scoring five No1s on her own.

Speaking on the group's anniversary on Angela Scanlon's Thanks A Million podcast, out Tuesday, Nadine continued: "I'm 34 years old so to think that I've been doing anything for 20 years is shocking, isn't it?"

Kimberley told The Sun last month how for the first time in years she had spoken to Nadine at a celeb party.

It sparked hopes that relations were thawing following pals Cheryl, Kimberley and Nicola's long rift with Nadine and Sarah.

Nadine previously told The Sun there was jealousy as she was often given the most vocals as she was seen as the best singer.

But she was devastated when Cheryl, Kimberley and Nicola decided the group would be splitting up on the final night of their 2013 Ten Tour, without consulting Nadine or Sarah.

Recalling a chat with their management, Nadine said: "They were like, 'You're not going to like this, but the girls want to split up the band'."

Reuniting is all the fans need to forgive them.

GEORGE Ezra has turned to desperate measures to bag a girlfriend.

The singer, who recently split with singer Florrie, has started singing out of his window to passing women.

He said: "I don't know if it's because I've been starved of human contact but I may or may not have opened the window and sang a little louder than I normally would.

"I don't know what I thought was going to happen."

George also told the Out To Lunch With Jay Rayner podcast he plans to film the making of his third album, including inspiration from foreign trips, once lockdown is lifted.

He added: "I was supposed to leave seven days ago."

JESY Nelson is putting her best foot forward in isolation.

The Little Mix star has spent lockdown getting in some much-needed rest and relaxation – as well as showing off some of her favourite wardrobe staples.

In her latest Instagram photoshoot, Jesy flashed her legs in a floral dress with a thigh-high split. She teamed the girly outfit with a pair of black Dr Martens and a beret.

Like her bandmates Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall, the star is making the most of her downtime before their hectic schedules resume.

As well as continuing work on their sixth studio album, the band are eagerly awaiting the launch of their BBC TV show The Search.

The Saturday night primetime series has been put on ice until it's safe to film the live shows.

I'd love to say this will be sooner rather than later but I'm not so sure.

WHETHER you wanted it or not, Sugababes star Mutya Buena is making a comeback.

The group had been set to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their first album with a series of projects this year but now that she's in isolation, she is considering a solo record as well.

Speaking on an Instagram Live, she said: "I'd maybe do an old-school, Nineties R&B album. All of my favourite R&B songs. Or an EP – an EP would be great now."

Mutya quit the Sugababes in 2005 but released her only solo album, Real Girl, in 2007, which featured collaborations with Amy Winehouse and George Michael.

The Sugababes' original line-up of Mutya, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy had been expected to make their comeback earlier this month but then the UK hit lockdown.

A bit of Noughties nostalgia is sure to bring a few smiles once this is all over, though.

SHE'S behind one of the most recognisable songs of the past three decades and now Whigfield's Saturday Night is about to have a resurgence.

The Danish star has revealed she's hoping to get her 1994 hit back on to the No1 spot thanks to the help of TikTok, after seeing how the app helped boost The Weeknd's smash hit Blinding Lights.

In an exclusive chat, Whigfield – real name Sannie Carlson – said: "I will do the dance on TikTok and try and get it back to No1.

"Can you imagine after 25 years the song goes back to No1? That'd be crazy. Everyone is doing workout videos now so why not work out with Whiggy? Do the Whiggy wiggle."

Whigfield also let slip she is considering working on a new remix of the iconic tune.

She added: "It's a difficult track to remix but a house version might be good fun.

"Some months ago Madison Avenue came back with their track, so why not?"

Now returning with her new song, a dance banger called Suga, Whigfield said she initially struggled with inspiration for the song after leaving the UK for Italy.

She explained: "For me it's a good time as more people are listening on the radio. But it's bad because the clubs are closed.

"I was living in London and it was one of those days where ideas kept flowing. I wanted to do a fun track.

"What I miss is the UK because I really felt at home there.

"People took to me.

"I think because I'm Danish – the Danish and British have the same humour."

PUSSYCAT Dolls singer Carmit Bachar turns on the swirl power in a tasseled jumpsuit – as she vowed the girl band will be better than ever on their upcoming tour.

The group, who reformed in January to mark their 20th anniversary, are scheduled to hit the road in October – Covid-19 permitting.

Carmit, posing for an interview with online fashion magazine Mr Warburton, declared: "Whatever happens, we are going to come back stronger.

"We owe it to ourselves and the world."

Put your hands up if you love a duvet day like Amber Davies.

PRANKSTER Olly Murs woke his missus up with the horn over the weekend.

And it wasn't the one she might have been expecting.

The singer, whose videos of him pranking girlfriend Amelia Tank have started going viral, shared a new clip of him honking an air horn into her ear over the weekend.

Amelia screamed with shock after Olly, who was dressed in a poncho and sombrero, gave her the rude awakening.

I would do more than just scream if he did that to me.

We went to every single bar on Mill Avenue in Tempe. Here's your guide - AZCentral

Every college city has one. (Or at least, every college city worth living in.) Anyway, the point is, Mill Avenue is the best place to go for nightlife near Arizona State University's main campus in Tempe.

You can't walk one block along Mill without passing multiple bars, clubs or restaurants. And with that much choice, it's hard know which one to go inside — unless you go into every single one to scope it out.

Here's the good news: We did exactly that so you don't have to.

This is a guide to every spot on Mill Avenue between Tempe Town Lake and University Drive. Whether you're looking to get cute and go out or get comfy and play some board games, scroll through this field guide to find the right vibe for your ideal night out.

When it comes to Mexican food and dancing, you can't beat El Hefe. This energetic spot is known for tacos and drinks, including the Bulldog Margarita which has a bottle of Dos Equis poured right in. The Mexican restaurant turns into a nightclub Thursday through Saturday nights. But don't show up in your leggings and T-shirt as El Hefe does follow a dress code at night.

Whiskey Row

A little bit country and a little bit rock 'n' roll, Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row is more than just a whiskey bar despite what the name might imply. The bar and restaurant features more than 50 craft beers and nine cocktails on tap. At night the restaurant turns into a club with dancing and a DJ.
