Trippie Redd Is Set Ablaze Via Voodoo Doll In His 'Love Scars 4' Video - UPROXX

Trippie Redd released his new hotly anticipated album Pegasus today after a long buildup that included singles "Sleepy Hallow" and "I Got You" featuring Busta Rhymes. To punctuate the release, he later shared the video for "Love Scars 4," an emo reconciliation bid that finds him insisting the object of his affection still feels the same way bout him. The video suggests otherwise, as Trippie's female lead uses a voodoo doll to set him on fire and drown him.

Among the tracks that Trippie released in the run-up to Pegasus' release, the Canton, Ohio sing-rapper also crooned alongside PartyNextDoor on "Excitement," channeled his inner rockstar on "Dreamer," and reunited with Young Thug on "Spaceships" after previously rapping with the Atlanta trap maven on "Yell Oh" from the deluxe edition of his 2019 Love Songs 4 You album.

In other adventures this year, Trippie reportedly pushed his label, TenThousand Projects, to create a half-million-dollar initiative dedicated to social justice, donating funds to programs designed to empower Black Americans. Trippie also appeared on the posthumous Juice WRLD single, "Tell Me U Luv Me," Juice's second single since his death last year. Trippie was especially affected by Juice's passing, promising to give up hard drugs in an impassioned social media video a few weeks later.

Future And Doe Boy's 'Tweakin' Is A Slick And Eerie Effort - UPROXX

Posted: 30 Oct 2020 09:18 AM PDT

While his most notable moment of his year might have been his chart-topping High Off Life album, Future's best work in 2020 has undoubtedly come through his guest features. The Atlanta rapper has given thrilling verse to the likes of Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, Pop Smoke, and more, giving himself a more than fair chance at a possible guest feature of the year title. Supplying yet another one for the masses, he returns alongside a recent frequent collaborator in Doe Boy for their latest effort Tweakin.

The track is just the second single from Doe Boy's upcoming Demons R Us project. The release will be his second full-length record of the year after he and DJ Esco's 56 Birdz project from earlier this year. Shifting the focus back to Future, there are rumors that continue to swirl that he and Lil Uzi Vert will come through with a joint project at some point in teh near future. Fans believed that the duo would deliver on the joint effort earlier this year, but the two rappers opted to release two singles, "Over Your Head" and "Patek," instead.

Snot Takes A Sip Of 'Sangria' With Denzel Curry On His Bouncy New Song - UPROXX

Posted: 27 Oct 2020 11:05 AM PDT

South Florida rapper Snot may have an unappetizing nom de plume, but fans can't get enough of the caustic, punk-influenced rap music the 22-year-old has been putting out over the past year or so. Today, he premiered the latest single from his upcoming debut Beautiful Havoc, "Sangria" featuring fellow Floridian rabble-rouser Denzel Curry. Curry, who happens to be one of the closest stylistic forebears of Snot's chaotic mode, joins the rising rapper on an uptempo, flute-driven beat produced by Pro Era's Powers Pleasant to show they can have laid-back fun as easily as starting a mosh pit.

With Beautiful Havoc dropping this Friday, October 30, Snot's previous singles have prepped the project for a powerful takeoff. First, he released the Cole Bennett-directed video for "Revenge" at the end of September, setting the stage for his misfit approach. Then, he followed up a few weeks later with "Mean" featuring Flo Milli, building his buzz and continuing the storyline of "Revenge." Beautiful Havoc follows Tragedy, his debut tape that released in March of this year.

Meanwhile, Denzel Curry's been on fire himself lately, dropping "Live From The Abyss" earlier this month after appearing on IDK's IDK & Friends 2 and Guapdad 4000's "Lil Scammer That Could."

The Weeknd's Disembodied Head Is The Star Of The 'Too Late' Video. - UPROXX

Posted: 22 Oct 2020 12:00 AM PDT

The Weeknd has put a ton of effort into the visual aspects of his latest album, After Hours. Now he's back with another clip, this time for "Too Late," and it takes the After Hours cinematic universe in an unexpected new direction.

The video starts with an aerial shot of a car being driven by two bandaged women, who are excitedly talking about their latest plastic surgeries. They then come upon The Weeknd's disembodied head in the middle of the road. One of them exclaims, "Oh my god: He is so hot," and they bring the head with them. They spend time with it in the pool and watching TV. They then hire a chiseled male dancer, who they behead with the intent of giving The Weeknd's head a new body, which works and leads to some three-way sexual activity.

In an interview this year, The Weeknd discussed the relationship between his After Hours singles and their videos, saying, "Sometimes it feels like the music is more the soundtrack for it, the [musical] score. 'Heartless' feels very tied in, this person who's heartless, and he's like 'F*ck love,' but you can see there's a sadness to it. I'm obviously telling a story in the singles, but the bigger story is this album."
